A Shield of Light Box is a veteran suicide prevention resource box created to help veterans who may be at their breaking point to help pull them back from the edge and remind them they are not alone.
The box is designed to provide comfort, connection, encouragement, and access to resources that may help during dark moments. Inside are supportive items, personal messages, grounding tools, crisis resources including the Veterans Crisis Hotline, and reminders that there are people who care and want them here.
More than anything, the box exists to send one message:
You do not have to fight this battle alone. Help is out there. People care about you. Your life matters.

For some veterans, the hardest battles happen long after they come home. They can be quiet, invisible, and carried alone.
Shield of Light Boxes were created to reach veterans in those darkest moments and remind them that they are not forgotten, not alone, and not without help. Each box is filled with resources, comfort items, encouragement, and reminders that there are people who care and want them to stay.
These boxes are more than items inside a package. They are a message of hope. A hand reaching out. A light in a moment that may feel impossible.
Because sometimes, the smallest reminder that someone cares can be the reason someone holds on.
